I think any kinds of hope, expectation, dream will disturb the creativity.

Most people may believe having dream is a good thing, but actually people will stuck in certain ways of action & probably not listening to others when they are believe on something.

People can listen to the others only when their mind is calm & quiet. I believe real creativity is coming from the quiet mind.

But the difficulty here is, when people achieve this level of mind once, they might want / hope to continue to have the same level of mind set. which becomes another shape of dream & disturbs creativity. The quiet mind needs to comes naturally.

I played this video game a lot when I was kid & its music has still my big influence on me.
