Penny Pinchers featuring Noah John on Guitar

w/ Christopher Jackson on Soprano Saxophone

In the audience, Damian Sanchez came to play with us.

We played at Murphy’s Memphis Tennessee. Chris is such a talented musician! He played more than 3 horns this night. Victor called the salsa tune at the end of the show and everybody danced all night.

Anthony Williams Quartet

Saturday, February 9th, 2008

Trombone: Anthony Williams, Piano: Justin Cockerham, Drums: Jeremy D. Warren, Bass: Me.

This was a great gig at Cotton Museum in Memphis, TN. The place was in the middle of downtown Memphis, right next to the Tennessee River.

This rhythm section was directly from Southern Comfort Jazz Orchestra & we were used to play together. So many interesting things happened since it was a small group & there was not too many restrictions compared with big band.

We had a lot of audiences this night & enjoyed playing. I liked the duo thing I did with Ant. He has a lot of ideas making music interesting.

Penny at Java Cavana

Monday, October 15th, 2007

We played at Java Cabana in Midtown Memphis, TN. We had a huge audience this night. This was my 3rd gig after my jazz gig for private party & reception at Holiday Inn on the same day and I was playing almost 10 hours in a row today. It happens all the time, so it’s alright. I was exhausted after the gigs, but it was fun!

Jazz Jam Night at Earnestine & Hazel’s

Sunday, August 5th, 2007

I am almost playing here South Main, Memphis almost every Sunday. This is the most beautiful & historical venue in Memphis right next to the Civil Right Museum. I played with so many great musicians here such as Jonny Yancey,

Renaldo Ward, Sal Crocker, Benjamin Pierre, William Dougherty, Ben Simpson & I am very honor playing with them. Show up on every Monday night & enjoy the best music & soul food in Memphis!

Diana Price EP Delta Kitchen and Bar

Monday, June 11th, 2007

This gig was at EP Delta Kitchen and Bar on Beale Street, Memphis TN. It was the first time playing with Di Anna & I was little nervous. I was trying to follow the changes she was playing on the piano.

I learned so many things from her. First of all, she picks the tunes from her audiences & their temper. She just provides what the audience needs & I think it’s very professional.

She called me one of her boyfriend & I am very honor about it. This means I have 3 girl friends (Pixy, Bass, Di Anne) now :)
