Pure Data
Saturday, July 10th, 2010I’m into the music/math/visual (?) software called Pure Data these days. You can download here.
http://puredata.info/downloads
Good thing about it is that it’s for free.
The only con I have is that it takes time to use it coz it can be very complicated & you have to build up whole things. (some patches can be download-able tho.)
But because of the nature of this software, it’s super flexible & if you can understand it, you can have a precise control over whatever is syncing with PD using mathematical method.
I recently made 3 + 5 patch & wondering how it’s going to sound like in live.

Annie Bacon’s Folk Opera at Jelopy
Thursday, March 4th, 2010It was pleasure playing with Anne & her friends at Jelopy theatre, Brooklyn tonight.
I have been feeling that I always want to be open to any kind of music.
Honestly, I consider myself as a pop musician these days.
Jazz used to be pop music & it is not now. (no offense to jazz cats…)
So why not playing pop music that people are actually listening to it right now.
Or, I really don’t care & don’t know what pop music is.
Probably, whatever comes naturally is good, either it’s pop or not.
Anyways, I love music scene in SF – Brooklyn & would like to perform & contribute more
