She is playing at Zebulon this week!
It was pleasure playing with Anne & her friends at Jelopy theatre, Brooklyn tonight.
I have been feeling that I always want to be open to any kind of music.
Honestly, I consider myself as a pop musician these days.
Jazz used to be pop music & it is not now. (no offense to jazz cats…)
So why not playing pop music that people are actually listening to it right now.
Or, I really don’t care & don’t know what pop music is.
Probably, whatever comes naturally is good, either it’s pop or not.
Anyways, I love music scene in SF – Brooklyn & would like to perform & contribute more
After the heavy snow, I had to make this one!

My backyard is finally shaved! I’m going to cover the backyard with newspapers & put wood mulch on it to prevent weeds. I hope it works.
I saw Becca Stevens (http://beccastevens.com/)at Zebulon (Williamsburg) last night.
She was playing with Chris Tordini on Bass.
She has good natural voice & makes people comfortable.
I’ve never seen Chris sings though…
His bass line was very simple, but it fits to its ensemble naturally. I’m always amazed by him, not just his technique but how he makes the whole ensemble.
There was an according player, but I didn’t get his name… He was also good.
I loved this piece. I’m at the corner of right above if you can see…
The harmonic concept of this composition was amazing & this can be apply for any improvisation of any kinds of music.
I actually start using the Major 3rd sequence in my jazz improvisation after playing this piece (3rd mov).
You can hear the same kind of concept from “bhept100 with Bruce McKinnon” on Thomas Morgan’s myspace.
This tonality is very interesting.
I recently moved to Bushwick, Brooklyn. This is Wilson L stop.
I heard a lot of artists moved to Bushwick, but probably I’m away from 3-4 stops away from Bushwick’s most emerging area like Morgan, Jefferson, & Decalb.
This neighbor is very quiet.
I saw one police is chasing a robber in front of Wilson once… but that’s the only thing I felt dangerous.
People around here are very friendly & might say “hi” or “wassup bro” on the street.
The rent is probably the cheapest in Bushwick (maybe because of the number of abandoned buildings).
I really don’t see any artist-like people around here. But there are a few. Cool people get off Jefferson etc.
Here is my view about this neighbor…
Beautiful view of cemetary on Wilson stop.
No Supermarket (I have to go to Mytle or Halsey. I hope there will be one around here.)
Everybody speaks Spanish
A lot of schools
There is one good Pizza place
24hr Deli on Wilson (One-way Deli) is convinient
There is a hardware shop on Wilson, but kinda pricy
A lot of Laundry place & dry cleaning
There is a very cheap 99 cent shop on Wilson
I will put more later…
